This information is compiled to assist guests who rent our Condo at the Zephyr Mountain Lodge. WINTER PARK BASE Shopping at the Winter Park Base Village where the Zephyr Mountain Condo's are located is pretty much limited to ski/boarding accessories in Winter and mountain biking accessories in Summer. There is one convenience store, one liquor store, and one fine apparel store.
SHOPPING IN TOWN Most local shopping is in the towns of Winter Park and Fraser and can be reached with your car by public shuttle bus or by special arrangement with the Zephyr Mountain Shuttle.
Shopping for Food -- Most everyone heads to Safeway in Fraser, about 5.5 miles from the Base Village traffic light.
Shopping for Necessities -- Most everyone heads to Alco, to Fraser Drug, or to Ace hardware, about 5-6 miles from the Base Village traffic light.
Shopping for Tourist Gifts and Local Crafts -- Visit one of these shopping plaza's. [Distances are from the traffic light on US 40 at the exit of the Base Village Area] - Cooper Creek Square in Winter Park [3.1 miles] - Park Plaza in Winter Park [3.3 miles] - Park Place in Winter Park [3.6 miles] - Kings Crossing in Winter Park [3.7 miles] - Alco Shopping Plaza in Fraser [5.6 miles]
