In 2014, we installed a pushbutton lock. It has a code
specific to the dates of your reservation. It will first open at 4PM on
the day of your arrival. It will cease to function at 10AM on the day of
your departure. If other times are required,
please advise at least 30 days before your arrival. You will receive
complete instructions before heading to Kauai.
In 2011, we discontinued the phone service in the condo. Nobody was
using the land line. And we were getting complaints about charity and
political and unscrupulous solicitors from our guests. Everybody travels
with a cell phone these days. So please bring yours with you to Kauai.
If your cell phone is not with a US Carrier, you'll be pleased to know that you
can cut down your roaming charges by using the wireless at the Cliffs to make
VOIP or Skype phone calls. Be sure to install the application before
you leave your home country. You'll get best signal if you make such
calls from the master bedroom or from the upstairs bedroom.

The fax at the Cliffs at Princeville is available for use. The number is
+1-808-826-2140. They do not deliver the faxes to individual condos.
You must pick up at the front desk. The Cliffs Resort front desk

We have found it impractical to assure that there are
beach chairs and and coolers. They disappear, break, and wear out too
quickly. However, our guests sometimes buy these items and leave for
others. As of May 2017 there were

Every season the someone asks if Cliffs Condos are Air Conditioned. They
are NOT. There are wonderful sea breezes on the North Shore. #9302's
proximity to the ocean and large sliding patio doors on both ends of the Condo
assure good ventilation. In the rare event of a still night there are
ceiling fans in the living and sleeping areas that provide fresh air. With
windows open, once can hear the sounds of the surf in the evening and birds in
On one trip to Kauai, we stayed in a air conditioned hotel room. It was
quite uncomfortable and we would up turning the system off and opening the

something we do not stock. Instead we invite guests to call Baby Wishes at
808-652-4273. They rent full size cribs, mini-cribs, and PaknPlay setups.
Delivery is free to our Princeville location.
It can be rainy or sunny any season. Even guests who visit during the
rainy months report long periods of sunshine. And if it's raining in
Princeville, just travel to the South -- or vice versa.

There is free wifi service
provided by the Cliffs Resort. You to connect to SSID: CaP_Wifi_1 or
Cap_Wifi_2 whichever is stronger. Then logon to the Cliffs internet by opening
a browser and attempting to browse to any web page. You’ll be presented with
page to accept the terms and conditions. That’s all there is to it.
Many guests depart Kauai on a 9PM or 10PM United Airlines flight direct to LAX
or SFO. Having a place to shower and cleanup after a fun-filled day
in Kauai is desired. A late checkout [up till 7PM] can be arranged for an
additional fee. This fee is required because the condo cannot be
cleaned and made ready for the next guest until the following night.

The Cliffs Resort generally takes care of the cleaning of this unit. We think
they do an excellent job and if you agree, kindly show her your appreciation.
Extra cleanings [for extra service charge paid by Guest] can be arranged by
calling the Front Desk at 808-826-6219.
Cleaning supplies for guest use are located above the washer/dryer.
Please report outages.
One roll of toilet paper comes with the cleaning service. Additional
rolls are in bathroom closets.
One roll of paper towel is provided for a one week stay. For longer
stays, additional paper towels are in available in the second bathroom closet.
- A hair
dryer is stored in the guest bedroom closet. Please return there.
An iron and ironing board are located in the right side closet when
entering the master bedroom.
Guest donated beach toys are in the left side closet when entering the
Pool/Beach towels must be checked out from housekeeping and you have to
sign that you will return them. Get vouchers at Front Desk at check-in.
Housekeeping is in the building behind the front desk admin building and is
accessed from the resort entrance driveway.
Loft windows can be opened/closed with a pole in the loft closet. Please
close when raining.
Fire Extinguishers are under the kitchen sink, upstairs in the loft, and
under the master bath sink.
RULES OF THE HOUSE
You are in a privately owned home. Please treat it with respect and leave
in top condition.
No Pets, No Smoking
2. Please remove shoes before entering -- there is a lot of red dirt and sand
that is very difficult to clean from carpets.
3. Be certain the front door locks behind you. We cannot be held responsible
for any losses.
4. Keep screens closed to keep bugs and birds – yes birds – out of the condo.
5. Keep noise to a minimum after 10PM. Guests in adjacent units are easily
6. Conserve electricity by turning off fans and lights. Hawaii has the highest
rates of all 50 states.
7. Don't feed any stray cats. They carry fleas and annoy many of the Cliffs
8. Take your trash out regularly to the dumpsters. Avoid attracting bugs.
9. Quickly clean up all food spills to discourage ants, roaches, and bugs.
10. Store food in closed containers to prevent bugs.
11. Avoid letting the bedroom drapes thrash around in the wind by always
opening the drapes 6 inches wider than the sliding glass
12. Do not take glassware to pool. There are plastic glasses above microwave.
Do not take good silverware to beach. There is ‘inexpensive’ silverware

The following terms will appear on your rental contract.
1 - No Pets / No Smoking
2 - Cancellation fee is $75 if made with 60 days or more notice.
- Deposit is forfeited if cancellation is with less than 60 days notice.
- No refunds for cancellations with less than 30 day notice.
3 – Check in time is 4PM; Check out time is 10AM.
4 – Renter agrees to pay for excessive repairs caused by harsh use caused by
renter or renter's guests.
5 – In the event of physical damage to condo #9302, owner may cancel this
agreement and return monies paid or may substitute equivalent accommodations for
6 - Any contract disputes will be litigated in the State of Colorado.
