Winter Park Tour center offers daytime guided snowshoe tours at 10:30 and 1:30 [call to double check the time].   These tours start with a ride up the lift so your are spared the exertion.  Prices start at $25 and include rental. Equipment can be rented at the lodge.  Guests with their own equipment are welcome to snowshoe on their own.  For a special treat try snowshoeing on a full moon night.

Devils thumb is a guest ranch on nearly 6 square miles.  Snowshoe on 20Km of groomed trails.  Equipment rentals are available at the lodge.  A trail pass is $15 to $20.

Highway 34 is closed near the park entrance.  Enthusiasts may snowshoe along the roadway and across various meadowlands.  Some trails are packed by virtue of usage.  You almost always catch glimpses of winter animal habitat.  Ranger lead snowshoe programs are available Sundays leaving from the Kawuneeche Visitors Center.  Call for details.
