Snowmobiling is the perfect outdoor activity to give compliment your ski vacation.  Whether you are expert or novice and are needing to give your legs a rest or just want something a little different, a day of snowmobiling can provide lasting memories.  Bust untracked power in pristine mountain meadows, cruise over hundreds of maintained trails, or journey up to the nation's Continental Divide.    Don't forget to bring your camera to photograph the scenery, wildlife and friends.

There are 4 well established and well run snowmobiling outfitters in the Winter Park area operating in two locations -- Winter Park / Fraser and Grand Lake.  Both these areas receive excellent snow and therefore have the longest seasons.  Most rentals in Grand Lake are unguided -- meaning you and your party snowmobile wherever you like.  The obvious freedom is offset by the challenges finding your way and extricating snowmobiles from deep snow.  Most rentals in the Winter Park / Fraser area are guided.   And due to the potential of severe weather conditions on the Continental Divide, a guide is always recommended.

Guided tours from beginner to expert.     Grand Adventures offers 1, 2, and 4 hour advanced tours as well as a special lunch tour.   Or, rent your own deluxe machine and explore the many miles of groomed trails and open meadows.  Every rental includes helmet, boots, and maps; suits are also available.

A 'must do' activity is Grand Adventures special Continental Divide tour.  Leave the Fraser Valley and climb over 3000 feet to our nation's ridgeline.  Along the way, you follow heavily forested 1800's vintage stagecoach trails, traverse a century old railroad grade, and climb past timberline into a world of giant meadows that seem frozen on top of the world.  Watch the weather and select a clear day.

Let Trailblazer guides take you on over 100 miles of maintained trails or to 12000 foot Ridgetops.  All rides include time buzzing across huge play meadows.   Rentals include Snowmobile boots and helmets; snowmobile suits are available.   Tours include 1 hour, 2 hour, half and full day plus special lunch and bonfire rides.  Don't forget to bring your camera to photograph your friends, the scenery, and perhaps a resident moose.

Uncrowded Snowmobiling on 120 miles of groomed marked trails in the Arapaho National Forest.  All snow machines have hand warmers and rentals include helmets, boots, and suits.  Rental includes first tank of gas.  Single seat, double seat, and high performance machines available.  Rentals from 2 hours to all day.

Unguided Snowmobile Rentals

Uncrowded Snowmobiling on 130 miles of groomed trails and beautiful scenery.  Start your engines at the head of the trail at the Winding River Resort just outside the west gates to Rocky Mountain National Park.  All rentals include helmets, suits, and boots.  Rent singles, doubles, or high performance machines for 2 hours, 4 hours, or all day.
